Lubed all the linkages and the cable worked the cable back and forth I bent the two contact switches up and it started right up, engaged and disengaged PTO a number of times shut it down and started numerous times. I will make it part of my regular maintenance. FYI the micro switch on the side...

My L2501 is giving me the same problem. I will try the lube method and see what happens. When I pull back on the pto lever it started . I was wondering if there is a way to adjust the switch as it seems that the little bar that hits the switch is not pushing it far enough to engage.

Thanks when I removed the shifter cover I found that one pin set was missing and the other was worn out.

The shift lever on my L305DT flops all over when I try to shift. I can shift to reverse and 1st and 2nd or 5th or 6th but it wont shift to the higher gears. I took the shifter cover off and everything in the transmissiom looks ok. What am I missing?? PLease Help!!!

I follow this site regularly but new to asking.Help!!! I have a 1981 L305DT I was cranking it over yesterday and went to reheat the glow plugs then there was nothing. No lights no start. Just replaced battery recently cleaned posts and clamps checked voltage at starter 12.7 checked ground...
