L2900 GST rear PTO won’t disengage

Sadly, both parts rotate with movement of the lever and cable. :( I was seriously hoping I could just replace the spring pin!

L2900 GST rear PTO won’t disengage

Thanks for the additional information. I'm going to see if the shift fork pin is sheared today.

L2900 GST rear PTO won’t disengage

Can someone confirm which 'internal clip' causes this issue? My guess is number 30 in this diagram. I ordered a WSM today and want to make sure I'm following the correct procedure to split the tractor when it arrives. Thanks!

L2900 GST rear PTO won’t disengage

Stopped into the local dealership to discuss. Their quote to repair, $3,500. :(

L2900 GST rear PTO won’t disengage

One more question, is it harmful to the tractor to leave the PTO engaged while I'm doing bucket work or box blade work? I don't want to make a repair more expensive than it has to be. Thanks.

L2900 GST rear PTO won’t disengage

Well I know that item 4 moves forward and rearward with the shift lever, which leads me to believe that shift fork is broken. That whole assembly is behind the transmission fluid filter assembly and a pain to access, ugh. I'll research how to access. Thank you.

L2900 GST rear PTO won’t disengage

My rear PTO cable broke the other day and my PTO remained engaged. I ordered and replaced the cable, but no matter what position I put the lever, the PTO stays engaged. If I push in the clutch, PTO stops, but as soon as I let out the clutch, PTO is engaged again. There doesn’t seem to be much...

Just bumping this to the top because I was having this issue. I managing to lift the brush hog was getting to the point where I could only lift it about an inch off the ground. I used some PB on the linkage as shown above and let it sit for about 4 hours while I was working. Went out at lunch...

Yes, the rears are worn, but not so much that it's time to replace them.

New front tires, now causing 4x4 driveline problem

Hello everyone. I had to replace my front tires this last week. I replaced them with the same tire that I took off, Carlisle Farm Specialist 7-16 R1. When I was driving the tractor yesterday, I noticed a new clicking sound that went away when I put the tractor in 2-wheel drive. I know there...
