    Two 50 hour service questions !

    Don't worry about the clutch adjustment, especially on an HST. I have a 3940 HST with almost 600 hours and have never adjusted the clutch. I would not mess with it unless it does not disengage when depressed or you have some slippage issues. Many manuals cover a few different models of tractors...

    Flying high until hydraulics sprang leak

    You will need to isolate the leak and than decide on repair type. If the line is cracked, the complete lineill need to be replaced. Or, it could just be a seal. Verify the leak location first. :eek:

    It's much easier and quicker than you think. I have the L3940. The others are right that there is no need to change fluid until 300 hours. Here's what I did and only lost about a quart or less of fluid. And I put new fluid in to replace the lost. I don't like reusing fluid due to possible...

    Oil type in front axle L2550DT??

    Yep. 80/90 gear oil. My L3940 manual says I could also use UDT/SUDT. But I'm old school and just can't see hydro fluid protecting and lubricating a 4wd front axle as well as 80/90 gear oil will. :)
