Kubota 5100 woods 15 ft finish drive line mod

Sometimes I do wonder if the ground speed with a 12 ft would be more advantageous than the 15 with reduced mph. Maybe in about 2 years I'll downsize to that after some trials

That is one option, run the center deck in a 25-29 hp motor independent. I think your right, might come up with a quick change unit to add when I need it, and remove pton shaft. I could probably get 6-8 mph at 15 feet with that setup. Probably use less fuel comparably.

Kubota 5100 woods 15 ft finish drive line mod

I got the woods at a steal, asking with tractor, hard to part with either when I'm so close on hp. It's pretty flat and I usually go about 4 mph. It's those rainy weeks like this whole year that get me sometimes. I totally forgot the engines are basically the same, I may investigate that route...

Kubota 5100 woods 15 ft finish drive line mod

Your reading my mind on all 3! Was toying with hydraulic motor and clutch combo, briefly thought about using nose shaft of main engine too. I left engine hp boost at end of line due to longevity, I only need maybe 3-5 more hp though honestly. Buddy mentioned it a while back and made me cringe...

The woods is a beast and lays down a beautiful pattern. I thought Kubota only offered the L 6060 and not in the M line? Definitely like the L60600 but I think it's too narrow, I'm on pond banks a lot and love the Mx footprint.

Kubota 5100 woods 15 ft finish drive line mod

Totally oddball idea I have here, looking for ideas. I have a mx 5100 pulling a 15 ft flex wing finish mower woods. Worksreally good, unless grass gets a week or 2 ahead of me. I need to keep tractor, hst is a must and I don't want to invest boocoos into a mx 6000 for that extra 6 or 8 hp I...

If I had a high hour gear tractor just running farm stuff small jobs, I'd be ok with non Kubota equivalent. But a nice low hours hydro that I'm gonna run all day in 100 deg heat, saving 30 bucks a year won't even cross my mind. Kubota has to make it past warranty time so they know what additives...

I have the MX 5100, it's 42.5 hp to pto. It's everything it can handle with my 15 ft bat wing, even without the pto on I have to feather the pedal some in mid range to get up the inclines to the front of the greens, sometimes lo range for the sides of greens. I think the Woods bat wing is about...

    kubota m7030su steering problem

Not sure if it has a priority flow divider in steering control. Possible debris from cylinder got to Orbital or priority flow are and is blocking pressure somehow?

    Power Loss

Recently chased everything big around a power loss going up slight hills, mx5100hst, pulling 15 ft batwing. Even though fuel filter looked clean and flowing great, replaced. Immediately my ole horse came back to life.

    Back to HST problum

Had nearly same problem with my mx5100 hst recently. I pull a 15 ft bat wing woods finishing mower, 130 acres of an old golf course. Over a week or 2 started getting sluggish, then didn't even go up the small hill greens in mid range without bogging. Over thought everything to I went back and...

    MX 5100HST Orbital

I have a MX 5100 Hydrostatic, question about orbital steer controller. Pulling to right enough to be annoying, seems like the Orbital is grindy feeling, stiffer at lower rpms and not sitting still, less smooth as it used to be. Thinking the pistons/housing are worn. I have had similar stuff with...

Want experienced comment on whether I should upgrade from MX5200 to M6040

From From what I understand the hydro shuttle uses internal hydraulics to switch wet clutches internally for f/r, no clutch pedal, fine by moving a small lever f/n/r. A lot of industrial forklifts use this.

Hey y'all, new member here, coastal Georgia. Ran across your thread here on tractor size/bat wing size. Was looking for info on secondary hyd coolers, figured y'all could help. I got a MX5100 got a steal with 400 hours, and a 15 ft woods bat wing got a steal also, cutting 120 acres of an old...
