    hotmail

AI is only as good as the data that it uses to generate the information you request. Very little of that data is verified as true and accurate.

    hotmail

I don't use hotmail, but Bmyers is offering indispensable advice. Do not fill out any forms that are sent to you and do not provide any information in response to their request. They are most likely scammers trying to get some information from you that they can either sell or use to access other...

    Grapple question.

I use a SGC1060 on my LX2610. It is heavy, but works very well for clearing brush and moving logs and rocks.

    Social Security changes???

As OldMachinist said, direct deposit is the way to go. I didn't realize that the SSA even mailed checks any more.

    WHO DID IT!

It was probably me. I took my snow plow off Friday. Even if I get a couple inches of white stuff at this point it will go away by itself.

Should moderators be elected by membership?

    1) I don't understand why anyone would want to be a moderator on an internet forum. It is a lot of work and the only reward is that you help keep the forum running smoothly. I realize that it needs to be done and I appreciate those who are willing to take it on. 2) If there was a serious...

    Suggestions for a wood floor.

I did my floors in wide hickory boards. The boards are 12 inches wide and have tongue and groove. If I were to do it over I would use narrow boards because the wide boards shrink in the winter and leave gaps between the boards. Narrow boards would still do this, but the gaps would be much...

Plow snow before ice? AND asphalt vs gravel strategy?

For me it would depend on the forecast for the next day or two. If the temperature is expected to stay below freezing then I would wait for the ice to form on top before plowing. If it is expected to warm up above freezing then scrape off the snow and the ice will melt on it's own.

    What kind of bird?

They prefer the pine trees which are infested with carpenter ants around here.

    Grapple options for the L2501/LA525

You see a lot opinions and recommendations for various grapples. That is because everyone's situation is different based on budget and intended use. So, I'll add my opinion. I have a Land Pride SGC1060 for my LX2610. I use it for moving logs, clearing brush, hauling stumps, and even drag it to...

    Post office

UPSP takes the longest to deliver a package compared to FedEx and UPS, and they refuse to bring the packages up my driveway to my house, the packages are dropped on the ground beside the mailbox regardless of the weather. FedEx and UPS both come up the driveway. When given a choice I never...

    Husqvarna 550xp mark 2 or Stihl ms261

My Stihl manual recommends that mid-grade fuel with up to 10% alcohol be used rather than corn free fuel because whatever additives are used in place of alcohol may be harmful to the engine in some way. So, that's what I have been using along with the Stihl synthetic 2-cycle oil (silver bottle)...

    Husqvarna 550xp mark 2 or Stihl ms261

Both saws specify 4 hp and they are both at the same MSRP price point. The only difference I can see without actually using them both is that the Stihl is a little bit lighter. I have been using a Stihl MS271 for many years to cut about 10 cords of firewood each year without any issues. I did...

    Tractor Disasters and Owner Abuse

My guess would be that the operator ran into a tree or something while going too fast.

    Timberline Chain Sharpener

i use the chain sharpener attachment on my Dremel. It is inexpensive, simple to use, and just as fast as the expensive sharpeners.
