    Guns...Times have changed...

My daughter was not allowing my grandson to have a toy gun. I laughed at her. About a year later, he had a toy gun and was playing with it. I asked her what happened? She said, "he's a boy. If he doesn't have a gun he'll pick up a stick and pretend it's one" You might say I was a pacifist when...

    Guns...Times have changed...

I'm not quite as old as you but I can remember walking down the street with my .243 Winchester on my shoulder. Nobody paid any attention. This was in California! Can't imagine doing this today. I'd make the national news. Can you imagine the PETA chicks when they saw me dragging a deer back to...

I beg to differ. Very different unit

    Battery Cable Too Short

It is the hot terminal. Don't want to close the hood with a jumper cable on the hot! Fires are expensive! I guess I can start it and remove the Jumper cable? Will I be able to turn it off without power?

    B2601/BH70 Swing Arc

I have a B2601 and I would not put a cab on it. The wheelbase is too narrow! If I wanted a cab (I don't) I would go with an L series - much wider unit.

    Battery Cable Too Short

I will have to wait until Tuesday to get a Kubota cable. Will an aftermarket do the trick? How can I splice a cable extension on so I can start and move tractor to a concrete area ? (away from fire ants!)

    Battery Cable Too Short

I don't want to lay down in a fire ant nest or I'd get under it and check the routing......

    Battery Cable Too Short

My low hours B2601 would not start after running fine. A quick look around found a broken battery terminal. The battery terminal was broken by a too tight cable! WTF? This is the factory cable and it's not long enough to hook a new terminal to. I don't see the factory being able to put the...

BX23S, B2601, LX2610 - Just bought 8 wooded acres (but also have access to larger tractor of grandpas)

I have a B2601. My last tractor was a B2910. These are compact tractors and very comfortable and user friendly. I would not feel uncomfortable using them for anything the BX could do. On the other hand, I would find the BX uncomfortable for many tasks the B would do well. I use the B2601 a lot...

Gear oil vs UDT in front axle

Synthetic oil does not cause leaks. It also does nothing to stop them. Non-synthetics often will cause a seal or gasket to swell, reducing or delaying leaks. If your stuff is bright and shiny, synthetic is the way to go. Oldy but goodie? Use regular lubricants. BUT, always follow manufacturers...

    Loader mount bolts breaking off

I was breaking bolts on a tractor I once owned. My problem was caused by ramming hidden tree stumps. Some of these I rammed by accident!

    40 ft Span Bridge

I was a Union Iron Worker in younger days. Bridge building has so many aspects to it that I would not recommend it. That said, I would build one myself! LOL

    Do I deserve this?

I'm brand new here but I post on other forums too. Some boards have a political forum and I stay out of those. I'm glad we have mods here. I don't think any mod should feel bad about the decision to give a one-week ban. That is a polite warning!

    Malfunctioning Loader Control B2601

New Member! I have / had a problem with the loader control on my B2601. It has only 160 hours and I just bought it. The bucket would curl and dump but when lifting or lowering, it would not function well. I was feeling "resistance" and assumed it was a linkage adjustment. Looked around online...
