It is the hot terminal. Don't want to close the hood with a jumper cable on the hot! Fires are expensive! I guess I can start it and remove the Jumper cable? Will I be able to turn it off without power?

I have a B2601 and I would not put a cab on it. The wheelbase is too narrow! If I wanted a cab (I don't) I would go with an L series - much wider unit.

I will have to wait until Tuesday to get a Kubota cable. Will an aftermarket do the trick? How can I splice a cable extension on so I can start and move tractor to a concrete area ? (away from fire ants!)

Synthetic oil does not cause leaks. It also does nothing to stop them. Non-synthetics often will cause a seal or gasket to swell, reducing or delaying leaks. If your stuff is bright and shiny, synthetic is the way to go. Oldy but goodie? Use regular lubricants. BUT, always follow manufacturers...
