Live PTO or not live PTO?

Mine has the GST. Which I know means I don't need to use the normal clutch in order to shift, and you can totally feel the hydraulic clutch disengaging when you do that. But is there another way to activate the hydraulic clutch?

Live PTO or not live PTO?

Interesting. The owner's manual mentions both types (independent and NOT independent) so I'm thinking it was maybe an option? I think the one I have is NOT independent, but I'm not 1000% sure. If I'm using my PTO auger, and I push in the clutch, the auger stops spinning. Does that mean it's...

    Key Stop Timer Relay?

That's interesting. Most of my fuse-block had been in shambles since I bought the tractor, and I recently just replaced the entire thing. So I wonder if I actually FIXED an issue? I thought having to pull the stop switch to kill the motor was just how it worked, but I guess the stop switch is...

    Key Stop Timer Relay?

OK, well that's interesting. I bought this tractor used about 10 years ago, and have always pulled the stop switch to turn it off, because turning the key didn't kill the engine. I just assumed that was how it worked. And just so I'm understanding this: If the system is working properly...

    Key Stop Timer Relay?

First off, what is this component? What does it do? And what is the Fuel Key Cut-Off Solenoid, and how does it relate to the Key Stop Timer Relay? I've got an L2900 GST, and recently I've been getting the effect of a relay (pretty sure it's one of these two) clicking on and off...

    Timing Window Cover ...

... on the Flywheel Housing. That's what the service manual says I need to take off so I can find TDC and adjust my valves, but try as I might I can't for the life of me find "The Timing Window Cover on the Flywheel Housing." I've looked all over the flywheel housing, and even through the...

Everything dies when I turn the key

"Double check battery terminals and the cables at the battery end. Corrosion can be and often is under the insulation and wire itself largely gone ... " "A corroded cable ('gone green') will often be very damaged well up inside the insulation and may look fine at any terminal or lug ... "...

Everything dies when I turn the key

Can't load test it this way because so far, I haven't been able to get the starter to even turn over ... :( I can only get lights on the dash to come on if I've let it sit for a while, and even then as soon as I turn the key into the START position there is a single *click* from down near the...

Everything dies when I turn the key

Thanks everyone ... ;) The battery connections are clean and tight and solid, but I didn't check the frame end of the ground strap. I'll do that first light ... fingers crossed THAT'S the problem and not the starter / starter solenoid :D

Everything dies when I turn the key

Strange electrical gremlins are afoot ... When turn on the ignition of my L2900, everything is fine .. the dash lights come on, the glow-plug light comes on and then turns off a few seconds later, just like it should.. But when turn the key to start it, there is a *click* from down...
