    Slip clutch maintenance

Yeah. I guess that’s also true. Going to need maintenance no matter what.

    Slip clutch maintenance

I understand the desire to remove it completely. My concern with doing that is that it also keeps water off the slip clutch, which would cause it seize up and need to be re-slipped in the first place. I guess if you keep it inside, it isn't a concern, but I keep mine outside.

    Slip clutch maintenance

Hi folks, I have an RCR1860 with a slip clutch. There is a large shield around the slip clutch which makes it very difficult to service, even with the small cutouts on the side. I’ve searched this forum, and it appears some people have removed the cover permanently. I don’t think I want to do...

    New LX2610su or 2015 L3301

Brush cutting actually works fine with my LX. I have an RCR1860, and I've never had an issue. I don't cut anything over an inch in diameter with it though. Be careful with the finish mower though (if you get one). I have the FDR1660 and it seems to be right at the top of what the LX26 can...

    New LX2610su or 2015 L3301

I have the LX2610SU. If I were in this position I would get the L33. Like another poster said, with the SU version, about the only “creature comfort” you get is a rubber floor pad. That said, there’s a lot of positive with going with a non-emissions tractor. You don’t have to deal with the DPF...

    Loader lever screw stripped

I was just retorquing my loader screws when I also noticed one was stripped before I took delivery. The dealer (or whoever else prepared the tractor for delivery) put an extra nut on the screw and it seems to work and hold well.

    Which engine oil for BX2380?

Yes. 15W-40 is what the dealer told me as well (in Virginia). He said not to use the 5w unless you were further up north and operated in the winter.

    LX2610 or LX3310

Yes - as someone who has an LX2610SU, I also wish i got the 3310. I don't need the MMM, but would've liked the extra HP at the PTO and the suspension seat. I am now looking at how to upgrade the seat as well.

    Grease stuff

I think mcfarmall is onto something. When I went to my Kubota dealer this morning, they said "we've only used this one grease for years". It was 3% moly. That's the only grease they use. Anyway, thanks for all the input. I've now got 3 different types of grease in my garage. 3% moly lucas xtra...

    Grease stuff

Thanks all. I couldn’t find it anywhere around me. I got it on eBay for about $8/tube. Seems like it’s really hard to find Polyurea grease right now.

    Grease stuff

I didn’t know that. I just went to order it on the Advance Auto website. After adding it to my cart, it said it was out of stock. Then I went to AutoZone, and it’s not available for shipping. I will continue searching!

    Grease stuff

Makes sense. I’ve been using Red N Tacky as my default grease for years anyways. Great stuff and will do.

    Grease stuff

Hey all, It seems the the general consensus (if there even is any) is Moly grease for loader, and Polyurea for the rest of the tractor and implements. Howevever, Polyurea grease seems to be out of stock everywhere. What are folks using instead?? Edit: I made this post after reading all the...

    LX2610 or LX3310

I have a 2610 with both a rear finish and a bush hog. The 5’ bush hog (RCR1860) never has any issue. The finish mower (FDR1660) will lose power if cutting thick grass on a hill. All my cutting is done in medium gear.

    Land Pride Gearbox Plug

Sorry for the bother. It was a hex wrench. A #7 or #8. I’ll leave this thread in case future folks have the same question.
