I understand the desire to remove it completely. My concern with doing that is that it also keeps water off the slip clutch, which would cause it seize up and need to be re-slipped in the first place. I guess if you keep it inside, it isn't a concern, but I keep mine outside.

I was just retorquing my loader screws when I also noticed one was stripped before I took delivery. The dealer (or whoever else prepared the tractor for delivery) put an extra nut on the screw and it seems to work and hold well.

Yes. 15W-40 is what the dealer told me as well (in Virginia). He said not to use the 5w unless you were further up north and operated in the winter.

Yes - as someone who has an LX2610SU, I also wish i got the 3310. I don't need the MMM, but would've liked the extra HP at the PTO and the suspension seat. I am now looking at how to upgrade the seat as well.

I didn’t know that. I just went to order it on the Advance Auto website. After adding it to my cart, it said it was out of stock. Then I went to AutoZone, and it’s not available for shipping. I will continue searching!

Makes sense. I’ve been using Red N Tacky as my default grease for years anyways. Great stuff and will do.

I have a 2610 with both a rear finish and a bush hog. The 5’ bush hog (RCR1860) never has any issue. The finish mower (FDR1660) will lose power if cutting thick grass on a hill. All my cutting is done in medium gear.

Sorry for the bother. It was a hex wrench. A #7 or #8. I’ll leave this thread in case future folks have the same question.
