    Hi All, About a year ago when trying to diagnose a problem with my L1500, i recall watching a video about diagnosing and fixing a damaged frost plug behind the timing cover on a 2 cylinder diesel engine.     L175 won’t start

    Did you work out what the problem is? Ive got the L1500DT which is pretty much same tractor. Mine starts fine but loses water into the oil, now suspecting a cracked head but have no way to test it.

    Ive took the head off. Doesn't look too bad inside but there does appear to become sort of oil valve on the block (up to the head) with an oil seal around it that looks perished. Not sure if its a squished o-ring or not. There seemed to be a lot of oil in the gasket around this area. No visual...
