Well... I have a B2410 2000 vintage. I needed front tires so I went to Kubota. Tires discontinued.... like not being manufactured any more. I have a 4 wheel drive where the back tires have to work in synchrony with the front tires. Kubota left me hanging without a straight swap out option...

The only thing I can add is check out the old seal versus the new seal. Did the same seals on my 2000 B2410 a couple three years ago and to my surprise ( and it was a SURPRISE ) the new seal was one piece and the old seal was a two piece unit. Once I figured out there was a "race" on the spindle...

This happened during a 6 hour mow. I always give the tractor and attachments a visual look see BEFORE I begin work. Whatever happened was catastrophically acute.... no warning in the pre-mow check.

I check the oil in my MMM gear box every 10 hours. A few years ago I lost a seal in the bottom of MMM gear box... and I am hard of hearing. Did not realize I had a problem until my neighbor told me something did not sound right. When I immediately looked into it .... the ONLY sound I could hear...

Not hard to to replace seals (and bearings if it has a bunch of hours on it) seeing as you'll have it tore down anyway. .

Just replaced (TODAY>>>> Seriously) the whole drive shaft on my RCK60-24 after 25+ years. Set me back almost $450. Normally I'd have overhauled it, but.... the splined expandable shaft was worn and needed replaced....that, coupled with the cost of the universals and coupler kit would have cost...
