    Wanted backhoe for b7100

I'm not sure they ever made one for the B7100, can't imagine it would have enough flow in the hydro system. There is the option of a 3 point BH with a hydro pump running on the power takeoff. But, I wouldn't recommend a 3 point BH, they are tough on the tractor. In fact, people have torn...

What a bummer, or it sucks to get old

I'm almost 67 but still in pretty good shape, I can still do almost anything I did in my youth except my stamina isn't quite as good and it now takes longer to recover from the really heavy physical stuff. I started riding back in the 1970s and went through all forms, dirt, knee dragger...

    New Kubota Z turn

Thanks lugnut. I did it like your first suggestion, that was the only way I could see to do it while taking it off but thought maybe there was a trick I might be missing.. Getting it off wasn't quite as much a struggle as getting it back on by doing the reverse. I'm going to see if I can come...

    New Kubota Z turn

A little update and a "thanks but too late." I picked up all my parts Thursday and pulled the ZT into my workshop. First up was the mulch kit. Removed the deck (BTW, anyone know the trick to getting the belt off easily?). Got my air impact out to remove the stock blades and went to work...

To the OP, do you have KTAC on your equipment?

    New Kubota Z turn

Thanks for the info on the trannys lugbolt. I am aware these are not intended to tow so had already planned to never put more that 10 or 15 gallons in the sprayer. If I have a bigger job, I'll hook the little sprayer to my tractor or maybe rig up a 3pt carrier for it.

    New Kubota Z turn

It isn't about high flow (well, it probably does due to the larger filter) but about high capacity. The filter set up is two stage like tractors use and the elements are larger meaning more run time between service. These ZT mowers run high bladetip speed and have high lift blades so if it is...

    New Kubota Z turn

I just ordered the OEM set up from Kawasaki through my dealer. Comes up to about the same price.

    New Kubota Z turn

I currently do similar but I just use a piece of heavy cord with an S hook. I have the cord attached to the stock deflector (drilled a hole in it) and use the S hook to hold the deflector up when not near other people or property. I do of course see the difference between what I do and this.

    New Kubota Z turn

Thanks, I already have a balancer. I am concerned about the mulch kit limiting how tall the grass gets between cuttings but like I said, this mower is mostly for trimming.

    New Kubota Z turn

A few months ago I sold my John Deere X320/48" lawn tractor to my brother and picked up a brand new Kubota Z231KW/42" to do the trimming around trees and other areas I can't get to with the LandPride 72" finish mower behind my L4701. From Kubota I have the mulch kit coming which will allow me...

    Anyone here serious about coffee?

That will be a next step for me. A good roasting machine and finding a good blend of green coffee beans. I can only imagine how good the house smells....

    Anyone here serious about coffee?

I consider myself semi serious. I use a BWT water filter (designed for coffee brewers, removes the bad stuff from water but infuses magnesium). I weight the whole beans for each draw (Lavazza Grand Crema from Italy through amazon). The beans are ground using a hand crank burr grinder...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Every 2 days I've been having to use my FEL with forklift attachment to carry a 35 gallon drum to water pine tree seedlings. Back around the beginning of May I planted 110 trees surrounding 3 sides of my pond for aesthetics and also for wintertime light block for my astronomy hobby. Of course...

    Where’s my pond algae?

Lucky you, I've been fighting filimentrious algae (horsehair algae) in my 3/4 acre pond since March. Pond dye, Cutrine, cottonseed meal and beneficial bacteria are slowly bringing it under control
