L3450 dies, no dash lights, starts again after half hour

It is not fixed yet, ordered a new ignition switch. It goes from lights to no lights just by tilting the switch. As a side note, I required the tractor to retrieve my skidoo which died out in the field(another issue). I did what was suggested in the first reply to this thread, I disconnect...

L3450 dies, no dash lights, starts again after half hour

Yes I have started that process, the first thing I wanted to confirm is that I was still getting power to the switch after it went dead. I started the isolation process. The issue is NOT before the switch, it is the switch or after the switch. However, I still cannot figure out why it takes...

L3450 dies, no dash lights, starts again after half hour

I was thinking of that, however I lose power to everything, no dash lights, no preheat no windshield wipers, no heater, no fan (I have a cab with lots of goodies) Everything off the "ac" post on the switch, no power. Any more thoughts?

L3450 dies, no dash lights, starts again after half hour

Here is some more data. It takes 46 minutes from start to first time it dies. After it dies there is 12 v at the input to the ignition switch. If I wiggle the wires coming out of the ignition switch, the dash lights will light up, sometimes. Another time nothing would happen if I wiggle the...

L3450 dies, no dash lights, starts again after half hour

Thanks for the thoughts, I had not thought of doing what you suggest , (when out on the road and wanting to get home), put the wire off of the stop solenoid and then jumping the starter.

L3450 dies, no dash lights, starts again after half hour

I have a l3450. This just started. I am blowing snow after about an hour(guessing at the length of time) it just dies. No lights on the dash, no start. After some time, maybe half hour, all dash lights light up, starts right up and runs until I put it away. At one point during that no...

    Weight of LA650 loader

Thanks for the tip. My tractor is 28 years old, and I bought it used from the first owners, 14 years ago. However, I could ask a local dealer if they know the shipping weight of the LA650. Worth a try. In the mean time anybody else have some advice?

    Weight of LA650 loader

I am trying to calculate the weight of my tractor which has a LA650 loader attached to it. My tractor is a L3450, 4 wheel drive, with filled rear tires. I can find the weight of the tractor, 2845 Lbs. I am having difficulity finding the weight of the LA650 loader. Can someone direct me in the...

    Bleeding fuel injector pipes

Yeah, I thought of that, and I will reuse if it is reusable. If not reusable i will have a back up. Rather have a backup then wait a week or so to get the new one, and have the tractor unusable during that time. Thanks for the thought.

    Bleeding fuel injector pipes

Thank you Wolfman. It appears that the engineers who designed this tractor made somethings more difficult and other things easier. I think i am almost ready to dig in and replace those Glow Plugs, waiting on a Inlet Manifold gasket. Thanks again.

    Bleeding fuel injector pipes

I am preparing to remove the inlet manifold, to replace the Glow Plugs on my L3450. In anticipation of having to bleed the fuel lines and injector pipes, I have read the article "How to Bleed Kubota Fuel Injector Lines" on this forum. My dilemma is I cannot find in my detailed service manual...

    removing Inlet manifold

I have to remove the Inlet manifold on a L3450, so that I can remove the Glow plugs. I can find 7 bolts, it looks like the eight is behind the Injection pump, but I cannot see it. It looks like the bolt flanges on the inlet manifold are the same on three ports, on a diagonal, and the fourth is...

    Glow plugs

Darn, I was hoping for an easier method. Now to begin the research on removing the inlet manifold. I cannot seem to find one bolt, I'll ask in a separate thread. Thanks everyone.

    Glow plugs

Thanks for the help. Wrench access is a challenge, but I can get the wrench on and turn them out. I cannot get them, once loose, to clear the Inlet manifold, to remove.
