Done. It does fix loosing the buttons or hitting the third function on accident, but thought it was strange that the controls came in contact with the steering wheel at all. Thanks

I’m new to tractors but not to heavy equipment. My control lever hits my steering wheel (knocks my 3rd function LP button off) when maneuvering the hydraulics, and wondered if any one has cut the shaft shorter to create a shorter throw to prevent this nuisance?

Thanks for the reply, and yes, I have some heating oil I would like to use up.

Do I need to only run the noted ultra low sulpher diesel, or could I run #1. Heating oil without issue??

Now to find the orange plug that goes on the other side of the box.

Mine is exactly the same as one in my picture (got the part # from the original invoice) I posted and my third function is still wired and nutted on the bottom and works properly. I’m missing the plug/nut on the other side. I‘ll look at the standard Hirschman nuts. Thanks again!

Thanks for that oldhokie, I dug up the details of what I’m missing and you’re right, it’s the other side of where the third function wiring from joist controls goes into the valve. It’s a land pride 3rd function kit, but of course I can’t dig up the parts diagrams that specify that plug / hex...
