I'm changing over from the pin-on grapple to pin-on bucket and heard a gritty sound while pulling a pin. The BX is used for landscaping so bucketing dirt and stone is common, and the bucket is used to back-drag dirt so the pivot points are sometimes buried, though rock dust takes a real toll on the grapple pins.
The pin looked good and I didn't feel anything abrasive, but grit seems to reside more on bushings. Both the pins and bushings are slightly worn despite overly frequent greasing.
I realize some here wax their tractors, do you clean and inspect your pins and bushings?
(I'm going to be doing that on the off-season of each implement)
