Does any one know the MX5200 HST inter axle ratio (drive train ratio)?
I just had a MX5200 delivered with industrial tyres.
I was expecting 12-16.5 on the front and 17.5L-24 on the rear, as stated in the owners manual.
It came with 10-16.5 (Titan 4123C8) on the front and 420/70-24 (Titan 4866T2) on the rear.
The static loaded radius ratio for the 420/70-24 and 10-16.5 tyres is 1.56
The static loaded radius ratio for the 17.5L-24 and 12-16.5 tyres is 1.48
I have seen mentioned that you should aim for a front wheel lead of 1 to 5%. Another post said Kubota recommend 3 to 7 %.
A change in inter axle ratio of 1.48 to 1.56 seems large. But then I saw that the standard tyres for the MX5200 are 14.9-26 and 9.5-16. The static loaded radius ratio for these tyres is 1.58. So which one is right? Or perhaps it doesn't matter that much.
It might be a Kubota Australia thing, trying to reduce the number of tyres combinations to stock.
Looking at the Kubota Australia website, they list 10-16.5 tyres as an option for the front, but don't list a industrial tyre option for the rear. They also don't list the 12-16.5 tyre as an option for the front.
