Does anyone use a gps that not only shows speed but also shows ground covered when spraying fields and pastures? I’m looking for a reasonable priced unit with good accuracy.

'reasonable' ? hmm.. how about free (well, $20)??
If you already have a tablet or smart phone, all you need is to add a WIFIswitch on the sprayer system. An 'ap' in the computer sees when the sprayer is on, does some 'math', updates the screen.
Any good programmer can cut the code in less than a day.

We have 90 acres of mostly pasture and a 17 acre field that will be mostly wildlife food plots.
Just Looking for what works for others with similar situations.

This is a good thread. I'm interested to see what you choose and how you like it when spraying.

I’m using an Agricision OnTrak with my iPad and it works very well. It’s about cheapest system I could find that paints a picture of ground covered.

That looks very cool. Far more advanced and cheaper than some stuff we use in airplanes for surveying! (Mind you we aren’t looking for 20cm accuracy in those specific applications!)

Sprayers on fine turf, such as golf courses, have gps systems that shut it down to the nozzle when spraying different areas. Cost savings are suppose to equate to +/- 15% on yearly chemical expenses. But might be a different application from what your looking for. I do know the gps setups for those application are pricey. Foam markers and/or tracker dyes are utilized as well.
