3rd function partially working

I have a 2601 with a third function and hydraulic angle plow, Ive had it on earlier in the season and it worked fine, however, today I hooked it up lower button on third function works to angle plow left but the top botton to angle plow right is not responding. Any suggestions?

Have you checked you hyd. fluid level?

after that, I might check the hyd. filter.

Check the wiring - verify the button is energizing the solenoid (12V) on the port that is not working.

That would depend on the exact hardware and I have no idea what you have. Can you get to the valve? If so pull the wiring connector off and check for 12V when the button is pressed.

Whose '3rd function' kit is it ? Should be 'install and test' literature online you can download.
Could be bad wiring, bad solenoid core, bad swtich, bad fuse ........
With voltmeter and wiring diagram should take 10-15 minutes to sort out.

OK - find the wires going to the valve and use a voltmeter to check the voltage at both solenoids. When you press the switch you should get 12V at the corresponding solenoid. If you do not get 12v when you press the switch you have an electrical problem.

Thanks for your help, there was a plug at the base of the loader joystick that had vibrated loose, kind of a crappy design. All is good now
