when will the Grand L 60 series be replaced? I'm happy with my L6060 cab and I'd like to add a L6060 ROPS model. When will they replace the 60 series? how long has it been out? how long was the 40 series tractors out?

No one other than, perhaps, relatively high level Kubota employees know.

Manufacturers rarely, if ever, publicize such information for obvious reasons.

It's been out for quite a while, but it's still very competitive in its class. There's not a massive clamour for more features. It's definitely closer to the end of its model life cycle than the start, but that could mean 2 years away - how long are you prepared to wait?

I can't imagine them making many changes at this time with it being so hard to stuff from suppliers. Our son has a Grand L3940 and L4060, but great tractors. The L3940 has 2600 hours and no repairs except a couple batteries, knock on wood.

The Grand L40 series ran from 2007-2013

I expect the next version of the L6060 to have rear hitch assist and, probably, EPTO.

JD 4066R has had both for years.

EPTO I get. Hitch assist looks kinda cool but I think I'd rather have telescoping arms or a quick attach - seems that either would do the same thing without so much complexity.

Of course, I have a B2601, and so I can reach over the back to lift and lower the arms, and most of my implements live on wheels so I move the implement rather than moving the tractor. That wouldn't be possible with a bigger cab tractor and bigger implements that live outside.

Telescoping lift arms are standard equipment on the L6060 and helpful, but hitch assist is the cat's meow.

As another B2601 owner needing a heavier tractor I'm just hoping for an "L" series upgrade. Give me some armrests! Not asking for much :)

And (might have) stopped early due to changes in emissions laws?

What's EPTO?
It lets you run 540 rear PTO with lower tractor revs - in effect it's a high gear for your PTO. So you'll see a machine with the rear 540 marked on the tach at maybe 1800 tractor RPM, and ePTO marked at maybe 1400 RPM or whatever. Lets you run lighter PTO implements without having your tractor roaring away - but relies on you having PTO implements that don't require all your HP to drive (obviously at lower revs you also have lower HP).
