Taller front tires will mess up the gearing when you go into 4x4. The ratios must match the tire diameters

Anyone put a taller front tire on there bx series, seems 12x8x10 turf is not large enough?
Welcome to the forums. This is the best site for information on Kubota tractors bar none. You question about larger front tires for your tractor is complicated, to say the least. Because your tractor is a 4 wheel drive model you cannot change tire sizes in the front without changing the rear tire size too.

There is another aspect about tire sizes that you may want to consider. The tires on your tractor are more than capable of handling any work you do with your model tractor. Also, I do not think there are any larger tire sizes available for your tractor.

If you do happen to find larger tires that fit you will have to make sure that the front and rear tires maintain the same ratio of rolling circumference. If you don't, you will have some severe damage to the drive train.

I remember someone posting here that one of the BXs use larger tires than others. I do not remember the details. But want to think the person posting went to the larger tires to get more ground clearance, and was happy with the result.

Maybe someone can add the details, or point out that I am nuts for remembering this...

I posted a couple of times about going to a larger tire size for the BX18xx series tractors. I went from the stock tires for my BX1860 to the stock tires for the BX2360. The OPs BX2380 has the same stock tire size that all the BX23xx series has. I am not aware of a larger tire size available for the BX23xx series or the BX25. That's not saying there isn't a larger tire size available, I am simply not aware of one for his tractor. The reason I have a little familiarity with this subject is because my neighbor has a BX2350 and he was looking for a larger tire size and was unable to find one.

The reason that I was able to go to the larger tire size because my BX1860 is slightly smaller than the BX23 series but close enough in size to allow me to use the larger tires of the BX23xx series tractors.

To be precise in the tire sizes I went from and to here are the sizes.

Front tire: from BX1860 stock tire size 16x7.5-8 to BX 2360 stock tire size 18x8.5-10

Rear tire: from BX1860 stock tire size 24x12-12 to BX2360 stock tire size 26x12-12
