I removed all four hyd cylinders from my 3130L and brought them to the dealer. They quoted me about $1100. for parts and labor to replace the seals. Does this sound right? It's a messy job removing the cylinders getting oil all over everything. I will replace the cylinders also. Just sounds like a lot of money. I've never changed the seals before so I don't know what that entails. The tractor is 16 years old with 1000 hours and this is the first mechanical work I have ever had to other than regular maintenance and fluids. Been a great tractor and always kept inside so it still looks great. Just wondering!!!!!

The seal kits are about $100 a pop from Kubota, so the balance is labor, etc. You'll probably get a better deal from a local hydraulic shop if one is available.
If you are considering doing it yourself, here's a link to an earlier post on the subject

You'll need a spanner that fits your gland nut and the tool to help install the rod seal. It's not that complicated if you're comfortable with a wrench. Just make sure you get the new pieces back the way the old ones come off - take pictures.
Oh yeah. If you order the kits, you'll need your loader serial number since there are two versions.
