Sorry if this has been covered. I tried searching the forum but I came up empty. I am NEW to tractors and diesels so bear with me.
My new-to-me 2010 B7510 has the battery light on at all times. I checked the battery with engine off and it has 12.7v. I ran the rpms up to operating levels and I have 15v. So it appears the alternator (generator) is working. Tractor runs fine with no issues. I mowed 2 hours last weekend.
Is there a regulator or rectifier I should check? Can anyone point me towards some online resource to help track down this issue? I am no expert on vehicle electronics but neither am I ignorant to the basics. I have a DVM and tracked down what I know but I have hit a dead end as to why the battery light is always on.
Thanks in advance!
