As this hoe has it's own pump and hydraulic reservoir and lines,do I need to use the Kubota UDT oil as recommended in the manual.

What else you have in mind? Do you have a Kubota dealer near by? Or you looking to spend a little less money on another oil?

there is no dealer close by,but there is a canadian tire and a walmart-----probably would be a lot cheaper too----thanks for the reply

If you want it to be smooth as silk order you some Amsoil hyd fluid. They'll deliver it right to your door and unless you use it a lot you'll not have to change it for years. It's rated for 3x the service life as standard fluid.
