I would like to think there are kubota reps lurking around this forum, looking for these very types of threads. Would be due dilligence on their part. Would be good to see one step in from time to time.
Too bad the dealer doesent step up when clearly they are in the wrong.
When i do finally find in my budget room to buy a new or relatively new machine, if service is good or bad everybody will know what dealership im dealing at. The two dealers in this area were both good to buy parts from. Cant say anything about service though.
I belong to Ford Truck Enthusiasts, and there is a Ford rep on the forum that is lightening-fast in responding to posts of this nature. That goes a LONG way in building confidence in a corporation, and how they handle issues. While I love my Kubota, this exact example, and hundreds others like it, are why I would be very hesitant to buy a new Kubota tractor. No tractor is better than the customer service, period. I'd take a lesser tractor from a company that has stellar service, than vice-versa.
Mv7fd, it's time you get tough. Go up the ladder fast. Do like a friend of mine does- when you call, ask for the mananger- then, when they get on the phone, ask to speak to the person that they answer to, right off the bat. Show them that you have the power of your wallet, and the internet, and that you want what you paid for, and reasonable service. Nothing less is good enough. Don't threaten, but you need to be firm, persistent, and firm some more. Don't give in, tell them you don't want it back, etc. Even if you are so jaded that you don't want the mower any more, you need it fixed so that you can sell it and recoup your money. They will hone in on weakness and ambivalence, so don't give them the power. You can be a nice guy and demand what is rightfully yours, at the same time.
