New development...my L245 oil pressure drops off to below 7 lbs at idle and 25 lbs at 2000rpm. Should be 14 and 45 which is what it is when first starting the engine. As it gets hot the pressure keeps dropping. I'm aware of the problem with the cam shaft plugs falling out but I have good pressure when cold. Is it possible the plug is loose and not completely gone at the cam shaft. Thanks for your input!

Anything is possible, ;), With the plug completely out it could still have good pressure till it heats up and then the gap gets bigger and the oil get thinner.

Cam shaft plug problem? Whats that? My just rebuilt dh1101 engine (l245) is also loosing oil pressure when hot - just under 40psi....the temp guage is steady at 77 deg C but starts to expel coolant...

If your cam plug is good, check the oil sump screen, and the O ring. I had a 185 once, that the O ring got hard and wouldn't seal... Cheap fix, oil pan gasket and O ring...:D
