Fixed! Read my last post

I was mowing today and my G2160 just shut down. I disengaged the mower deck stepped on the brake and it started right up. Except when I let off on the brake it dies. I got it back to the house with one foot holding the brake enough to keep it running.
Anybody know what could have happened?
Thanks,
William

Perhaps ìt thinks you are not in the seat - e.g OPC switch failed. Pretty confident its something along those lines.

No, not that switch as I disconnected it years ago.
Then one of the others. I had a similar problem when the battery hold down on munr broke and it was flopping around.in the engine compartment. Dont remember the exact details but it was tripping one of the safety interlocks.

Post your copy of the wiring diagram. Without it ,it's a guess as to what the cause actually is.
If you bypassed the OPC that eliminates 99.44% of possible items, like switches....

Well, after having the seat switch unplugged for years, I decided to plug it back in. Runs fine now, with no brake! Weird.
Thanks for all the input.
You guys tied it to the seat switch from the get go. I guess it was.

You had it unplugged and jumpered? Without a jumper it thinks the seat is empty.

You know I forgot all about that jumper. It must have fallen out while I was mowing. Thanks Dan, I can quit scratching my head now
