    Glow Plug Switch Wiring

Thank you for the discussion. Working on a hard start problem, this give me a better understanding of the issues on older engines.

    Average age of OTT users?

Sorry for the late reply here, been following another expensive hobby for a bit. Got a green (sorry they didn't have orange) jeep wrangler for off roading. 67 here, this is my mid life crisis I guess. Got the kubota in 2007 My wife does her age in celsius - that makes me 19

    Tractor Storage and Mice?

Experience suggests that the electronic devices work for a while, then the mice learn that it doesn't really hurt so they ignore the sound. Another solution, if I recall correctly, is oil of cloves.

    Parenting skills

It's wonderful that you are doing foster care. We have three the 'natural' way, and have fostered many children with difficulties over the years. The first one moved in at 9 months in 1979, he is still with us. He is in a wheelchair, and totally dependant, but loves the kubota. Another young...

    Custom back up generator shelter.

We lose power here at least once a year, sometimes for extended periods as we did during a recent ice storm. I went with a bit different setup. I wanted a proper automatic switch over, but that meant re wiring the essential circuits, and a fair bit of new equipment. For years we managed with...

    Forks Complete (Almost)

I gave the pictures to my carpenter/plumber/electrician/mechanic friend, asked if he could make one, as I don't weld very well and am off with an arm injury. He came back a few days later with it finished. I forgot to specify orange paint, so it came back black. Works beautifully, thank you for...

Do the Righteous go to heaven when they die?

I am a Christian and therefore accept on faith the basics. I do not profess a deep knowledge of theology or dogma, so I can't quote scripture or commentary to support this belief. As stated earlier, righteousness is a matter of following a belief system, so the theory is that those who...

Post Hole Digger for Kubota B7100D Tractor

Beautiful machine. There are a few companies that make augers specifically for small tractors. These have a higher mount, to allow for the 3pt being closer to the ground on the small units. I suggest you start with ebay to get the manufacturers names. I have the direct links around here...

    When did this happen?

As I recall, the 1st year etc thing has always been here. It is a function of the number of posts you have made. A few people who joined after I did have 'higher' ranks. I'll probably never make it because I don't have as much to say.

3pt reciever hitch w/top ball And grab hook

I have to agree about the hook, I would remove the trailer ball and the hook so you are never tempted to use them. Everything you pull must be attached below the rear axle. I have seen too many injuries from attaching too high. Even my smart-ass friend thought he could just pop the clutch in...

    B6000 transmission oil.

If you are using hydraulics at all then the trans-hydraulic fluid is recommended and will likely give you better results. On my unit the transmission is also the hydraulic reservoir.

    New b5100e owner.. Couple questions!

When i get a bucket full of dirt, the back wheels are in the air part of the time, even with a few hundred pounds on the 3pt. Without front wheel drive I could not get much use from the loader. You may need a small bucket or lots of weight in the rear. Would be good to check the specs for 3pt...

    Pulling my hair out

A few things you may want to check. 1 - do you see the same problem with other 3pt implements? Will tell if problem is tractor or bush hog 2 - are both tractor lift arms the same distance from the ground in both up and down positions? measure including and excluding the lift links. 3 - are...

Brakes Set, But Can Move in Gear

Parking brakes - what are they? After driving around too many times with them set, I have prevented that problem by no longer using them. Yes I occasionally need the brakes for stopping or holding on a hill, but for parking I just drop the loader and 3-point. Should do that anyways as they will...

Attachment for mowing a pond waterline....

I would suggest going supercheap on the prototype. Before you fabricate a mount, just attach a push gas mower to the end of a 4' rear blade, handle facing to the centre of the 3 point, and a suitcase weight on the other end of the blade for balance. You have your up/down control, and most back...

    Battery for a B7001 / B7100

Speaking here from experience only. The 51R is the correct size for my B7001. and a number of other models. Of course, this only refers to the physical dimensions and terminal layout. The CCA is specified separately. Yes you do need high CCA for larger engines, but a 750cc engine does not take a...

    aux lights set up ideas

No products to recommend, but some thoughts to consider. 1 - clamp to the rops, do not drill into it 2 - consider replacing the generator/alternator, as the stock ones often will not generate enough amperage to run extra lights - you end up with a flat battery after snow removal at night...

Any experience with this type of FEL?

My B7001 came with a loader, run from a (kubota) hydraulic pump driven off the fuel injector pump. I don't know the flow rate, but apparently it runs at 2200 psi. It easily lifts enough to get the back wheels in the air. There are pictures in my portfolio here. I can't comment on the specific...
