Im new to my B6000 and I am changing up all the fluids, manual says SAE 80 Gear oil, I see in the store they have 80w90 gear oil. Is that the same thing?
B6000 transmission oil.

i dont have a manual for my 6000 and before i looked on the net for information ,i filled mine with 40 wieght oil and it works fine. My bobcat only uses 10/30 oil so i dont see no problems with almost anything working. Almost all gear oils are multi viscosity oils. tractor hydaulic oil might nt be but you would have to buy a 5 gallon pail for that.

80w90 is not identical but it is close enough since you're getting a multi viscosity gear oil, you hardly ever see single weight gear oil anymore. SAE 80 was used when your manual was printed in the mid 70s. 80w90 will work just fine. Its what I use in my B6000. IIRC it holds just over 3 gallons.

The Kubota service center that I get parts from suggested that I switch from 80w90 to UDT oil for my B7100 manual transmission - just a suggestion....

If you are using hydraulics at all then the trans-hydraulic fluid is recommended and will likely give you better results. On my unit the transmission is also the hydraulic reservoir.
