If you have not had the front bevel gear assembly apart before , I would recommend that you start spaying the front ball joints and wheel nuts with penetrating oil. This will make your job easier in the end. Ball joints popped with a solid hit on the cast housing after the penetrating oil...

just finishing up the repair. As I was told , it is a pretty easy job. Could not get a seal from a bearing dealer though . Had to go through Kobuta which was fairly expensive. If you pre-order your parts ,done in a day.

Did not receive a new set of chains, but was shipped a set of H-crossers and extra chain. After a couple of hours assembling these new pieces into the originals , I now have a set of chains which fit. Would have been nicer to get chains that actually fit , but this did save alot of shipping...

Heard back from the supplier , and they notified me that I did receive the wrong size chains. They said the length was right , but the width was to narrow. New set being shipped. Thank's again for all the help.

Paid for chains to fit the tires , should be no extra expense .

Ok , finally took some measurements. Measured chain width at 24 inches. Used this measurement to locate where chains should fit on the tire sidewall. Then measured the circumference of the tire at this point. Tire circumference is 120 inches ,and the length of the chains is 110 inches...

Will let you know how I make out. May take a week before I get back at them though. Please have patience for a response.

No not yet . I will check for the diameter of 17.5 x24 R4 tires and then check my chain length.

Tried again with no luck. Tires are too big to remove , to try that way. Took pictures and sent them to the manufacturer. Waiting for thier reply.
