    thanks wolfman, and yeah i was including the shipping in the price. i am relieved that its a "simple" fix. not liking the idea of the possible cost of parts.... well better get started on taking the radiator/grill/hood off, not even going to question if its in the way or not.

    if it used to be straight 30 in the old days then likely that is what mine will take, the recommended lubrication types listed on the side of the tractor are as such... engine - #30 engine oil hydraulics - #140 turbine oil mission case - #90 gear oil the manual only list one other lubricant...

    i currently have a pond scoop and back blade that works ok... was actually looking to get a plow, subsoiler, middlebuster or some thing of that nature to help break a path, then use my scoop to clear out a ditch.
