Just dropped it off at my buddies deisel shop. He's one of the best diesel mechanics in the state. Doesn't usually work on tractors, but told me it shouldn't be a problem. I'm fearing the worse, hoping for the best. Anyone know a ball park cost on a complete rebuild? Or even the price of a...
Ohh yeah I agree, definitely on me. I just don’t understand a warning light that doesn’t come on until the damage has already started taking place. Isn’t the point of a warning light to give you a heads up that the oil is getting low? Not wait until it’s bone dry. On every mercury outboard...
We had a guy who worked at our kubota dealership do our 50 hour service about a year ago. He did it on the side which is going to haunt us. Jumping forward to this afternoon. I started the tractor and the low oil pressure light came on. I ran it for a couple of minutes to see if it would go...
Did some brush hogging for the first time this spring a few hours ago. When I got done, I couldn't get the PTO to disengage. The lever moves freely, but in the off position the PTO still operates. Any suggestions what to look for?
Got 5 acres of beans in last tonight. Stll trying to figure out a way to cover them better. The cultipacker didnt do much at all so i rigged up a drag out of an old gate and put cinder blocks on top of it. Seemed to work decentely
Ive been mowing and spraying the past week getting ready for a four acre bean plot. I spread 1000 pounds of fertilizer yesterday. Tonight I am going to start discing and tomorrow im going to broadcast the seed and cultipack. This if my first attempt at soybeans so I hope it goes good!
First off, zero turns with a steering wheel suck IMO. Not nearly as fast as a traditional type. Secondly, i recently shopped all the brands and the engine choices kept me away from Kubota. I ended up going with a Dixie Chopper with a Kawasaki motor.
I think it really depends what you are wanting to do with it. For gardens, and food plots under a couple of acres I would say the tiller would be ideal. I do 4+ acre food plots and a disc is more effective I believe. Also if you have real rocky soil you can have tear up tiller tines.
I just bought a rb1660 on ebay for 240$ Brand new condition. I didnt really plan on buying one, but for the money if I use it once or twice a year it will be worth it.
I'm really surprised I was able to do what I did. We had a major thaw for just a couple days, but have been under a blanket of snow and sub zero temps for much of the winter
