    1979 b6100 4x4 fel $4000

I dont think this rig had an hour meter originally but if it did it has been replaced with one that has a ditch witch emblem on it and it reads 1638. Not sure if the motor has been rebuilt but I know when I had the tractor separated to put the clutch in it there was a new seal on the...

    Flowrate on hydraulic pumps

I've seen a few post on the factory pump being around 2.8gpm any ideas on where to look to find out what the external pump is capable of? The parts should be here tommorrow and I dont want to refill the fluid and then have to braze taps in or something. Thanks Stan

Can someone tell me if this clutch throw-out bearing is OK?

Frank, I have an older b6100 and the grease fitting in the bearing holder only greases the shaft..the fitting is between two seals in the bearing holder that only grease the output shaft. My bearing is pretty much sealed up. Looks like your bearing is toast in the picture, hard to tell but that...

Cone or screw type wood splitter?

Thanks GWD, wanted to hear from someone thats used one. Looked like it would work well on big stuff but I kinda wondered what would happen if you got into some gnarly twisted stuff and stalled the tractor out! Guess Ill stick with the old wedge type splitter unless I can get my hands on one of...

    B6100d clutch release bearing woes

Hey Killer the way this thing is built Im guessing It wont miss a few bolts here and there:D But I did answer a few of my own ?'s 1.You can't slide the new release bearing over the output shaft from the trans side because there is plate that holds a seal for the bearing holder in the way. 2...

    B6100d clutch release bearing woes

Butch splitting it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I started at 3 and was cleaned up and in the house at 8 but that was with interruptions (kids) and the lack of organization of tools and garage. If you had a well equipped shop i would think 2 or 3 hours even less w/o a FEL. I started...

    B6100d clutch release bearing woes

I figured it out I think. Pilot bushing was shot see pic 1. So Im guessing when the trans was in neutral the shaft could free spin with engine but when I put it in gear the trans. stopped the shaft and things got a little noisy. The clutch bearing appears to be fine but I have a question...

    B6100d clutch release bearing woes

If the bearing is bad why doesn't it make noise when the tractor is in neutral with the clutch pushed in....it only does it when in a gear? Thats why I wondered about the clutch adjustments. How do I check to see if the clutch is adjusted correctly? If I end up changing the bearing I will...

    B6100d clutch release bearing woes

Is it possible to remove the rear section(transmission) from the "tunnel" where the clutch release bearing is and leave the bell housing and "tunnel" attached? Once that is off can you slide the new bearing and bearing holder over the output shaft. That would save having to remove all the...

    B6100d clutch release bearing woes

When I press the clutch in on my b6100d and it is in gear it is growling and vibrating. I greased the clutch release bearing assembly but I noticed that grease came out on the transmission side. This did seem to help a little but the problem persist. If the gear box is in neutral with the...

Hi, I just picked up a b6100d was admiring your restore job and have to ask what kind of tires you have on your 6100. I called a couple places local and they only offer the r-1 ag tires. Thanks

Still have serious issues with my B6100

Pretty sure those only work on A.C. I had the same problem on an R.V., I did what Aquaforce said but I didn't have a "test light" but I did have an old clearance light for a trailer(any 12v light bulb). Just unhooked the + cable and and put one of wires on the + terminal and one on the main...

methanol ratio per gallon of water for tractor tires

We use it in geothermal loops and a 16% solution by volume is good down 20deg F, 21% to 15deg F, 25% 10 DEG F. Not sure if that helps if you want to go lower you can figure out the ratio.

B6100 to buy or not to buy

I pumped some grease into the release bearing nip and it made a difference but its still making noise about half what it was but it appears that the oil seal on the transmission end of the release bearing holder is shot and most of the grease came out there instead of pushing into the bearing...

B6100 to buy or not to buy

Yeah it even has racing slicks:D I just read Vics article on the clutch release bearing so I will be Lubing that baby up and praying that is all I have to do! The old fella I bought it from said it didn't do that for him and the tractor had set most of the last 2 years with occasional use.
