    SSQA- Watch your toes

I did exactly the same thing but there was snow, maybe 5-6" and I had steel toe boots. No one was nearby so I'm standing there feeling real dumb, engine running, wondering how long I'd be stuck. As you've probably already guessed I sat down and started digging snow, old frozen snow, not fresh...

    Shed a tear

Recently the 50th anniversary of the siege of Khe Sanh was observed. Seems like yesterday my Dad was sending home letters as he was headed there. He survived the siege but was severely wounded just before the end and spent months on the USS Repose. For many who came home "end" anniversaries...

    Trade-ins?

I traded my L2850 when I bought the L4630. The 2850 required a full front axle rebuild, it had deteriorated to the point of rendering the machine not usable. In that case reselling it privately would be a long slow process so it made sense to get back to work by trading. I prefer trades whenever...

    loader valve

Agreed this would be the fastest, cheapest solution. Only consideration is range of motion increases with length which may be an issue for the OP.

    Show me your Refueling Setup

This came out nice but if I did it again I would get a slower pump. At 20 gpm it only takes 30 seconds to fill the 4630 or the kx121 and 15 seconds to fill a 5 gal jug - don't look away while filling! http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=32774&stc=1&d=1511438471

4 wheel drive possible problem ?

Put the bucket against a tree while on loose dirt and slowly push to see if the wheels are turning. If you don't like that idea put your bucket down until your front tires are elevated, bucket curled up a bit at front edge, then go forward and watch your front tires both in 2wd and in 4wd to...

I like my new pallet forks

You can always shorten the 48's but can't stretch the 42's...... I have 5 machines with forks, 4 are 48" and 1 is 42" - every time I get on that machine I swear I'm going to buy 48's for it!

    Nerf Bars

Westin, good quality and support. The rubber/plastic footpads failed on my van and Westin sent me new pads no charge, no hassle.

    Wtb trench bucket- kubota L-35

Re: Wtb NARROW TRENCH BUCKET FOR KUBOTA L-35 I have an unused (bought new in '97) 12" width hoe bucket for a 555E. Perhaps it would fit if you went with a quicktach setup?

    L4630 front axle leaking

Retiredcop, did you ever perform this repair? What was the complexity? My L4630 is leaking bad left front axle from the largest pivot joint.

    Tractor dies on hills

Since new the first symptom my fuel filter (the paper element in the glass housing) in my KX121-3 is plugging is exactly what you describe. Never made any sense but it stalls on grades and runs fine on level. Replace filter element and problem is gone.

    Pallet Fork Mods

Nice, you'll use that often. My only comment is your equipment is too clean! :)

    Your Tractor's Name?

My tractors name changes with it's performance level and my mood, many days it's name can't be published here.....

The day I almost died on my Kubota...

No sermon here either. I used to subscribe to Northern Logger magazine and each month the first page I read was the accident listings. Even though gory and sometimes horrible the info makes you think every time you use your equipment. Stay safe and thanks for the post!

    Chaining a B26 on 18' Trailer

Your B26 is a TLB? If so to be DOT compliant your front loader and hoe need to be chained as well. You might need a revised chain budget!
