    Size pallet forks for L3901?

Also, the total lift capacity of a new L3901 is 1131#. If you remove bucket and attach a skid steer type fork setup, calculate your lift capacity by suctracting bucket weight, adding skid steer weight, then add or subtract the difference depending on which was heavier. Hope this helps you out...

    Newbie question

Buy forks rated for the lift capacity of your loader when you get it. Also get the cross-bar stabilizer to stop them from pivoting. Do NOT raise your loader any higher 2' off the ground (until you learn to operate the bucket controls smoothly) than you need to in order to move. Some stabilizer...

    Utility trailer rental: advice needed

If you rent a flatbed like shown, I would recommend attaching a 2"x10" or 12" across the front of the bed in case someone stops short in front of you & you have to jam on the brakes. Trailers tend to hop when that happens and loosen even tight binder straps. Have seen a few ruin tailgates on tow...

Unloading tractor from Trailer causes accident in PA

3 weeks ago a Zagray's (Colchester Ct) May show we watched a teenager try to load a 20hp-300-400# garden tractor up hill. Ramps were slippery metal diamond plate. After first try failed, he backed up, gunned it in 2nd gear and rolled it backwards right over himself. Thought he broke his neck or...

    Sharpening Brush Hog

I pick it up with the FEL, grinder the rough stuff off, then sharpen with die grinder & 40 grit pads for grass, etc. For heavy cutting (brush up to 3") just the grinder. If that stick in the picture slips, we'll assume you quit the forum! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Flag

Used to work for a natural gas utility. One on-call weekend was Fri @ 4:30 pm to Mon @ 9:00am jackhammer in frost to repair a broken mainline. One traffic cop was an OT hound so he was on his third rotation w/ us & asked if we were still here or left and came back. "Still here". He said well at...

Why no Front Mount Mower ?

Front mounts work well on fairly flat ground but humps and hills require a 4 wheel float system that can rotate side to side w/o scalping. Running from a pto makes for a complex attachment system. Brooms and blowers don't encounter these terrain problems. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Northern tool

They are at the higher end of a lot of foreign products. Excellent generators w/ Honda motors. Logging tools are easier to bend but price diff. is substancial. Pulled over 100 cord off 21 acres over the years w/ 84' L2250 and bent the 36" grapples about 2". $59 vs. $300, to me = so what. Put...

    Indecisive...yet determined.

Have a 1984 L2250DT w/ a BF400G. Lifting capacity is 1683#. Bolted 2 cast steel lifting eyes @ corners of bucket w/chains & snap hooks (all components 5000# rated). chain are slightly longer than to pass bucket edge by 10", makes fine height adjustments w/ curl very easy, not jumpy. over 10K...

My take on BX tie down hooks

Fed DOT requires chains to be attached to non-removable part of main machine, wrapped around axles w/ capacity of all tie-down components exceeding equipment weight, due to momentum force during a head-on etc. Cops usually don't notice while moving except for weigh stations or other violations...
