3 Point Hitch, No Lift Power

I looked at all lines and hoses and have no leaks. I don't believe I am getting air in the system. In my prior posting I explained that the hydraulic cylinder for the three point hitch was rusted and seized when I bought the tractor. I removed the cylinder and honed it and replaced the o ring...

3 Point Hitch, No Lift Power

NIW, I am not getting air in the hydraulic system. A friend told me to test the hydraulic cylinder with air pressure to make sure it made a good seal and lifted the 3 point hitch. The friend also told me to remove the hydraulic fill cap and listen to hear if it sounded like some air was...

3 Point Hitch, No Lift Power

I have a Kubota L275 2wd with no loader, no power steering and no other hydraulic powered accessories except the 3 point hitch. I was told that the three point hitch didn't work when I bought the tractor. I found that the piston and cylinder were seized due to rust. I removed the cylinder and...

    Slow Moving Loader

North Idaho Wolfman, I checked the hose routing diagram on the loader manual and found that the return and carryover lines were reversed. I corrected those connections with no change in the speed of the loader but I could hear a whining noise coming from the relief valve/flow diverter block. I...

    Slow Moving Loader

North Idaho Wolfman, I took another look at a the old pump and found the housing was deteriated. I installed the new pump and still slow moving loader and 3 point hitch. I took apart the block the the relief valve mounts to and found more metal particles. I took apart the relief valve again and...

    Slow Moving Loader

Hello North Idaho Wolfman. I checked the pump pressure before removing it and it only showed 850 lbs at max. No damage could be seen through the intake or discharge. The shaft could not be turned by hand initially but it freed up easily with the help of a pair of channel locks. The pump...

    Slow Moving Loader

Thanks for the advice! Can the pump be rebuilt and would you recommend a rebuild? Should I look for metal fragments either way by at least taking the hoses off the loader valve and opening up the 3 pt cylinder? Thanks again, Fred

    Slow Moving Loader

North Idaho Wolfman, I will pull the pump as you suggest. Will I be able to see the damage from either the input or discharge openings? Is there any other areas in the hydraulic system that I will need to check for metal fragments? Is there anything special I need to do when/if I need to...

    Slow Moving Loader

Hello All, I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with the loader on my 1983 L235DT. It has been moving really slow and it cannot pick up any weight. The 3 PT hitch has no trouble picking up a 5" box blade but it doesn't seem to be as fast as it used to be. I took a look at the hydraulic...

    Slow Moving Loader

North Idaho Wolfman, There is/was little tension on the lever, so much so that the lever would no longer stay in place when set. that's why I made an adjustment in the first place. Are they special washers or is there supposed to be a spring on that threaded shaft too? Thanks, fred
