if it wont move the problem is in the sump, most likely water has frozen into a ice blockage. the only thing the hydrostatic drive and the other systems share is oil. seperate pumps seperate lines. the divertor valve shouldn't effect anything but the loader.

when the tractor is off can you get the arms to lower?? visually check feedback rod to make sure everything is connected. umbolt feedback rod amd move it while tractor is running and 3pt lever is in up and down positions.

there is an internal cylinder,doubtful that it did that though. the straining hydraulic system means its probably still trying to lift the 3pt higher, most likely the problem is in the position control portion of the system.

if the 3pt went up on its own, and wont respond to the control lever. i would start with the 3pt control valve. the FEL should be in front of the 3pt in the hydraulic system the reason the straining sound goes away when you use it is, the oil is returning to tank bypassing the 3pt valve.

my uncle always used a double bit axe and he swung it so it struck at about a 30deg. angle, weight of the second bit did the exact same thing. it was fast but hell on your wrists.

JD Corn Head Grease is good stuff i use it in all kinds of gear boxes. most noticeably was my Dewalt angle grinder the head would get hot enough to burn you, took it apart washed there grease out filled it with corn head grease, and it runs no kidding 50-100 degrees cooler.

first thing you have aftermarket powersteering, is it still working correctly? if so we can assume you have good pump pressure. second is there a valve, or knob on the block where your powersteering lines are connected? if you can please post a picture of this block.

just for future reference. there is a roll pin and its external of the valve body, part 006 on the Fiche. should only allow the knob to turn about 90 degrees.
