Good ‘enin, OTT. It’s time for an oil change on my G5200H. Looking it up, I see that these awesome machines were produced between 1984-1990. I know engine oils have changed dramatically as have the engine tolerances. My original owners manual says to use API service CC or CD, and below 59 degrees use 10w-30, and above 59 degrees use 30 or 10w-30. I tend to always use the owners manual fir my direction, but this sounds like hogwash, as Dad use to say!! TractorData has some totally different ideas. They say to use 10W-30 for 5degrees to 55degrees, and 30w from 55 degrees and up. Sooooooo…… I know these discussions tend to get dicey, but it is a rather ancient machine!!! What would y’all’s use if you had this awesome machine!!! Last oil change, the auto-parts guy suggested what they carry as pretty good snot, so I bought it-AllFleet 15w-40 and it seemed o.k. I thot y’all would have some better thots on this elixer subject. Thanks guys and gals. Take care. Semper-fi & This We’ll Defend, Mike
