I am working on a ZD25 that will not start with the key. Someone has rigged a switch near the starter to bypass the ignition. This will start the mower. When you try to start with the key, the bendix will engage but the starter will not. Occasionally the mower will start with the key but it is rare. I have checked all of the safety switches and the ignition switch and everything checks out okay. Any ideas?
