Ive been using the new King Kutter II gear-drive tiller 60" behind my Grand L 3010 for a couple weeks now and I'm really impressed. Working some ground that was bulldozed last fall to resolve some drainage issues around the house and I want to get grass seeded. Also worked up some new garden space 20x50 feet for a squash patch on old pasture ground. First pass stripped the sod off and second and third passes have the ground ready to plant.
No complaints with the tiller but I wish my GST had one lower gear. Sometimes 1st gear is just a tad faster than I would like to go. My R4s tire track is about 64" and the working track of the 60" tiller covers the right side completely and leaves just a little on the left, certainly acceptable to me. The tractor actually bogged down some, lost some RPMs, in heavy soil at full tilling depth but it appeard to be a little heavier clay in that spot. It's rated for 25-40 up tractor so I realize my 26 at the PTO is lower end.
Good tiller for the money. Bought it on sale new for 1429. + tax. It weighs over 700 pounds and accepts my quick hitch.
