I was doing some chipping Saturday and had a piece of wood get jammed between the feed roller and the opening to the knife area. I was able to get it out by taking the panel off the right side and using a punch to get it out. The piece of wood that was being feed in was still under the feed roller and I couldn't release it since I couldn't lift the feed roller. Has anyone else with a WoodMaxx chipper had this happen?

My Woodland Mills WC68 has forward-neutral-reverse control for the infeed roller. Anytime I get wood stuck or jammed in the infeed roller I just reverse the roller.
I assume your chipper has a reverse for the infeed?

No, this is model doesn't and I don't think it would have helped. The piece of wood was stuck in a way that I couldn't turn the feed roller backwards or forwards.
Ok. The feed roller on my chipper is variable speed hydraulic driven, where yours is belt gearbox driven. Not sure that helps, but another feature on mine is it has a removable exterior side cover over the infeed roller which I've had to take advantage of once when were putting a lot of long-needled pine branches through and they bunged up behind the roller and wouldn't clear.
Has yours an access cover? Mine lets me get something between the roller and the flywheel, from the side, and clean it out. 3 screws I think.
