I have a 2017 KX040-4. I recently had the cab replaced and now the windshield washer pump will not work. If I pull the plug off it and test with a vol meter I get 12V. If I take the pump off and use test wires to the battery it works. If I hook the plug back up to the pump and also use a voltmeter on the back of the plug I get 0V when I turn on the pump, but as soon as I remove the pump I get 12V. I have even purchased a new pump for no good reason and same thing happens.

Any ideas. This is driving me crazy.

A grounding thought comes to mind.
What happens if you ground the negative side of the pump to the frame or battery?

Perhaps with and without having the OEM pump connector connected.

I suspect that either the +12 Feed wire or ground is corroded.
Put a 'load' like an 1157 bulb on the plug, see if it lights up.
Voltmeters are not 'loads' , don't draw current.
If possible follow the wiring, probably an inline connection somewhere and that could be where the corrosion is.

Try hooking up the meter so that you don't have to hold it on the plug side, and physically wiggle the wires all along its path, looking for disruptions on the meter readings to see if you have some sort of pinched wire, internal breakage or internal corrosion.

Also, I had this happen to me one time.

When I was working on my truck doing something, while putting it back together I pinched the feed tube and got no fluid coming out, so I impulsively swapped it out with a new one, and BAM...same thing, no fluid coming out. Didn't take me long to figure it out, but it cost me 25 bucks for skipping the trouble shooting process....
