I lost a drive shaft in my L245DT transmission and had to split the tractor on both side of the transmission. I took off the clutch pressure plate to inspect the clutch disk. Then I read the instructions when putting the clutch back together. Service manual is from Kubota. It stated to make sure and put the clutch disk boss back in the right direction. Well it does not say what is the correct direction is and what a clutch disk boss is anywhere. Parts manual has no mention of it. I'm assuming it is the disk. But what still is the correct direction.

Look carefully at the reference image.

The clutch disk has a center hub with a "boss" that extends up from the plane of clutch friction plate. If this boss is place towards the flywheel, there will be no way that the friction surfaces can be properly clamped between the flywheel and the pressure plate.

Check your WSM illustrations for additional orientation directions.

Yes you are right, I had put it in backwards, the boss was just part of the clutch disk. Funny part I had even labeled it when I took it apart, but that was a year ago. I turned it around and got it back together and it works.

I'm happy it worked out for you.

And do not envy the second splitting of the tractor to do the job. But the work goes quickly with the previous experience.
