I have had problems off and on relieving the pressure from the hydraulic hose when connecting my grapple. Usually when I forget to relieve the pressure when I disconnect. Has anyone used the “Waite hydraulic decompression tool” That is in this video.

Yes. Works as advertised. I have also let others borrow it who were struggling with with connecting hoses. They had tried the cloth and pushing it against stuff, getting tired of loosening the connector to relieve the pressure, once they tried this both ended up each buying one.

Note, I have actually only had to use it once myself and it was in the summer time that I left the grapple out in the sun and the hoses heated up and built up pressure. Since then I learned to put the grapple in the shade/barn to prevent that issue.

I always sexed my connections so that I can plug them together when not in use. When I want to use it again, I can dis-connect them (relieving the pressure) first, then plug them in.
