Using 3rd function for ditch / bank mower

Picking up a used ditch bank flail today. I am still not 100% convinced this is what I really need but want to try it to see how I like it. Good deal so if I don't like it, I can sell it. However, I don't want to spend the money for more remotes (I have one) until I am sure I want to keep it. Thinking about just connecting it to the third function valve and using those buttons to tilt with.
Anyone done this? Can I put a T on the back of the valve and leave all the lines connected to the front of the loader? I don't keep the grapple on all the time anyway.

This is why I never hard mounted my grapple's quick connects. I can unhook my grapple and run the hoses to the rear of the tractor. Easy-peasy... and cheaper (no extra hoses to buy!)

Yes, as long as you have only one attachment plugged in at a time.
