Saw an idea from Specialty Repair, Kubota Mod products, Newfondland, Canada, for LED light option for his grated step product. I've used these KC mini "puck" 4x4 rock lamps for under hood lights in my trucks for years.
Just found these Mini super powerful magnets on Amazon, supplier is Mutuactor. Was looking for a Rubber coated one so not to scratch paint, plus have a small O.D. and fastener for this KC Hi-Lite . They have a few, that will work. Ones I got came with a Velcro strap I did not need, so removed, this is what it looks like with the KC.
Hindsight...Should have put a ruler next to it. It's 2.25" dia. .
Going to put one under the hood of my B2650, and step as well.
Will add a pic after this of the Amazon page.

Easier out of box alternative for under the hood than my approach!! Nice !! Like how they did the dual split strips , complete with fuse and switch assy.. Neat "turn-Key" pkg.
My Puck KC / magnet will fit easy though under metal floor above entry step. If you have a cab or not.
LED Strip with sticky may be too long, to place under there.

I’m all about tractor mods. But about the under hood lights, what would you be doing to need a light? As in checking oil level? Air filter?
Reason I bring it up you can have too much light, if you put one of those under hood it could be too bright against the top of the engine and radiator it would not be helpful down by the engine oil dipstick.
I most recently added a “footwell” light to mine, it is a small red LED marker light just to illuminate the floorboard always on with the key.
I also have 4 smaller cube lights at each corner mounted to the underside of my canopy(protected from limbs) that will illuminate all around the tractor. And the light that reflects off of the canopy is enough to light the operator area just enough.
I’ve had brighter larger lights on previous tractors but I don’t have a need to see several hundred yards on front of me while hindering my vision up close where it’s needed.

Post some pictures up when your done

The strip is sufficiently flexible that it can be coiled, routed back-and-forth, etc. (I don’t know if the strip can be cut-to-length like some L.E.D. strips.)

BUT…they are BRIGHT! Coiled or folded into one small area you may have to wear a welding helmet! 😅
