Transmission Oil Sight Glass

I've a Kubota L3800 HST and need to replace the Sight Glass. Do I need to completely drain the Transmission Hydraulic oil b4 removing the glass ?

No not completely. Just drain just below the sight glass. Or if you’re comfortable have a drain pan ready and remove the old sight glass and install the new one.

You can run it up on a side hill until the oil is below the sight glass, no hill, use a jack to artificially make one!!

depending on how low it is, you might be able to use the FEL to raise the front up enough to switch it out...

This. I just drove my tractor up a ramp on one side, then replaced the sight glass.
