I was using tractor last evening and all was good. Hoped back on to start it up....dash worked as it should but nothing on ignition. I have had the pro switch cause this before so jiggled it...nothing. I tried the seat switch and still nothing. Then I noticed the code on dash OPC which I think means open circuit? Long story short it appears to a switch connected to the HST pedal...that is telling the tractor I am in forward or reverse direction....I wiggled that around and got it to start...same thing happened again later. Is the switch going bad or can I just lube up the pedal?

Thanks

On my BX23S ,there's a 'flap in the rubber mat, you have to open up to get to the HST lever grease zerk to quirt a dab of grease in. One day I'l remember to START there, THEN do the other 25-30 zerks.....

OPC stands for Operator Presence Controller.
This is the electronic brain watching the many safety switches and the actions the operator is trying to do such as engage the pto or get off the seat.

Oh, thanks for the reminder! I greased yesterday and... yeah, forgot that one.

Good idea!

Can't hurt to lube the pedal and see what that gets you, but... well, switches do go bad. Might be loose, too. Eyeball it!

Seemed to work today. I sprayed more lube. Did not find a zerk to grease. I know the tractor sat for almost a month...we have had no rain and Is dusty beyond belief....I think we are back in business. Appreciate all the help.

The L3901 tractor does not have a grease zerk on the hydrostat control linkage.
