I just put the tiller on my BX25D this morning and tilled up my 30' X 50' plot, and also did two of my neighbours that I do yearly, one of his new sections was virgin land that had never been cultivated or planted.
First pass was done at barely crawl speed at half depth with throttle at 3000 rpm, second cross pass was at full depth, and third pass down the length was smooth, with not a sign of any sod left, and as fluffy as cotton.
Tiller is a 52" Del Marino (from Italy), which I bought three years ago in farm country. What attracted me to this ad in the local on-line classified, was it had 7 rows of tines(in great shape, no sign of wear at all), was built very heavy, and has this great feature to slide horizontal without moving the 3pt mounts. It has a removable hand crank attached to a 1" threaded rod, and two hand locks. Simply twist the locks, attach the hand crank to the threaded shaft, and crank the tiller up to 14" either right or left.
Very happy with it.
I now have three more people wanting gardens started and land tilled. When I get asked how much I want for the 'work', I just tell them "Whatever you think it's worth to ya" -Some, I won't take anything, others I gladly take their cash for the cause.
