Hello guys, I'm thinking about trading for a new BX23S. I currently own a 1986 Kubota 8200 (gear jammer not hydro) with a FEL. Its been a great tractor and has done everything I have asked for it. I really like what Kubota has done with the BX 80 series and the 23s has caught my attention. I would utilize the backhoe feature BIG TIME. I mainly use my tractor for light material handling and dirt work.
My question is how would this new BX23s compare to my current tractor? I know its obliviously physically smaller, but it has more power than my old 8200. Some input from fellow members would be appreciated !!!

PS my tractor is in decent shape yet, paint has faded (not sure why its kept in a shop at all times) and has a few war wounds but overall id say its nice yet. My closest dealer offered to trade me my machine for the BX with $15k to boot....that was including a quick attach loader, 3rd valve control on the loader, load leveler rod indicator (idk what that is), 10" bucket for BH, Industrial Tires, and the thumb. IS that a fair deal?

I just paid 19,600 for my BX23S with a 60" mmm. 12" bucket. Sounds like your getting 3,000-4,500 in trade.

Oh yeah, and 2,300 on top for KTAC insurance in my case.

After owning 2 HST machines now, Ill never own another gear slammer.

You should be able to get more for yours on craigslist.

Thank for the reply.....With tax and added options they were at 22k OTD. 15K to boot, I understand they didn't come off the MSRP much but the best quote I have gotten was for $19,200 but that did not include tax and the machine had no other extras. $19,600 OTD is a helluva buy especially with the mower deck

If you do much fine grading with the three point, need a high lift bucket, check out the operation of the BX. The three point control is particularly cheap.

Well they had a hard time locating one but they found one and went and got it for me this last weekend. They want to do their own PDI on it and are waiting for a couple implements to come in...sounds like it should be ready for me mid week this week. I'm pretty excited, and if all goes well should have it by the weekend.
