Hello All. I'm confused by the blues and the greys involved on Kubota tractors. I've read a lot of posts and even the main article on colors (very helpful) but something still seems odd. Having looked at hundreds of Kubota images online, I've noticed that there is a distinctive blue used on older model drivetrains with an overall effect much like Denver Broncos' colors. But newer models seem to use a more-like-ROPS grey that doesn't even hint of blue to me. The modern color scheme seems to be bright orange II, grey, and black.
In thinking about what I'm calling a "low-level restoration" of my '94 B7100, I have two thoughts. One is "go all original," meaning use the midnight blue color and keep it 100% authentic. But I'm leaning toward trying to use the more monochromatic orange, black, and grey scheme that would give the appearance from afar of a newer machine. Am I wrong in thinking that there must have been one model year in which Kubota stopped using that deep blue and switched the drivetrains over to grey? My local parts dealer said, "The ROPS grey and the standard grey are close enough no one could tell them apart." Even more confusing! Thanks.
