Im going to put a remote valve lever onto the b7100
Is the difference between cutting into the line and taking it off the external plug that we cant use the 3 point hydraulics while its in the external position??

Yes, pretty much! I'd cut into the lines if it were mine. I would be a good idea to use a control valve with power beyond as well.

Balex, I have the same tractor with a FEL on a separate hydraulic system. I'm in the middle of adding an electrical diverter for the rear and front on QD's. what do you have on your tractor?

You should not need to cut into the line on a B7100. They have a "tap in" block for hydraulics. It is located near the fuel filter on the side of the engine block. It has a cover plate that gets replaced with a different style to allow the hydraulics to be diverted to the remote valve. I am not sure if you can still buy the new cover or not but it is easy to make a new one that will work.
